I learned about Coastal Home (www.coastalhg.com) earlier this year, when the editors were compiling their first issue. They called to ask for information for an article about a home I worked on a few years ago, and while I haven’t seen hard copy yet, there’s a preview available on the web …

The letter from the editor on page 18 is a succinct description of the magazine’s scope (New England) and focus (home, garden and lifestyle). It’s also something of a nice manifesto for many of us whose work is encompassed by the notion of – and passion for – building (or perhaps “creating” is more accurate) – homes, as well as other beautiful interior spaces.
The article for which I was contacted starts on page 72… I hope you enjoy it.

Hi, thanks for the thoughtful question. I don’t know the answer though, sorry! I’m new to blogging so am just “doing what comes naturally” and talking about random things in my field that I enjoy and others might find useful and/or interesting, and hoping eventually to stimulate a dialog with like-minded people. “Selling” is just not my forte so I don’t really even think about it … I guess I just like the idea of connecting.
